“Not So Common” is the August 2016 show at the Hive featuring a preview of Jenks’ newest green space, the Downtown Commons. The space is set to open in 2017.
Located just half a block north of Main Street, the Downtown Commons will feature expertly crafted landscapes, a permanent stage, food truck access, and gathering space for locals and visitors.
The project was made possible through Vision 2025 funding and a partnership between the City of Jenks and Jenks Public Schools.
The “Not So Common” show will feature architectural renderings of the space, along with explanations of key features.
“Not So Common” will run August 4 – 31 during normal Hive gallery hours: 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
An opening reception will take place August 4 at 6:30 p.m. featuring comments from Greg Helms, the architect behind Downtown Commons’ design.
The show will also highlight other architectural works in Jenks by Helms’ firm, GS Helms + Associates.
